Allan's place is situated at the top of a hill and is very private. It is a short drive away from the city centre. It is quite uphill to get to if you are walking so this is not something I would suggest if you don't have a car. The views from the deck are outstanding. Would love to visit again in winter so I can catch some snow peaked mountains. The only negative thing I have to say about our stay is that one of the aircons has the condenser unit attached to the wall directly outside it. The wall vibrates and it gets quite loud so it is actually unusable. This means that you can only effectively use the aircon/heat pump in the living area.

Firstly, the view is nothing short of incredible and every day offers up new shadows, cloud formations and light on the mountains and water. Just stunning. Well cleaned, ok bathrooms & close2 town (although steep walk home). Mostly nice&quiet. Bedrooms good but on different levels. Master &ensuite are on car park level & cars park right outside window!! But, many sub-par things: nit-picking (no peeler/breakfast bowls); shoddy (chairs that flaked off on pants/dress, a manky dish scourer); bad (frying pan with broken handle (tipped over when lifted & spilt hot oil, & a blocked ensuite drain).The less said about BBQ & front courtyard the better. On departure we wrote to the manager, saying the money they’re charging is greater than the experience they’re offering, and a discount might be appropriate. Our perfectly reasonable & legitimate request was met with cynicism: “…has a whiff…that doesn’t sit well with us”. Hopefully they reduce their prices for future guests, or up their game.

Beautiful views! Loved the airbnb but keep in mind that it's a 4 floor townhouse with amenities on different levels. The host was helpful, responsive and helped us throughout the stay! The house had everything we needed apart from shower gel and shampoo so be sure to bring that.

The view from the balcony is beautiful. 5 stayed comfortably. Responsive with the simple questions we had. Nice to have 2 bathrooms and a washer dryer. Would stay again or easily refer this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the area.

Allan’s place is great, close to town! But it’s an uphill so becareful when parking. Also, they do not provide shampoo so do purchase one if you’re planning to head down.

Expensive for what you get! Positive: The views and size of apartment! Negative: No sky tv, no TV in main room, stairs dangerous, internet was rubbish, drain in down stairs shower kept blocking, crockery hard to reach, pots are rubbish, no parking for apartment and other cars park outside the main room getting no privacy, beds not that comfy. Pretty bad for over $700 + per night

Amazing property with a view to die for. Close walk into town however the walk back is a little tricky due to the incline. Perfect space for 5/6 adults. Can definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. We had 5 nights . The view of the lake was amazing and the place was very clean and well equipped.
The only negative would be we had our elderly parents and weren’t told there was a lot of stairs

from arriving in Queenstown to leaving we had a no stress stay at our vacation home with good stays, they were formal and always responsive, the home was clean and as described, the spot was perfect for our group of 4 and only 5 mins to town, we would vist again and recommend this home to others.

This apartment was perfect for our needs. We were a trio of couples so 6 of us in total and this ticked all the boxes. Amazing view from the balcony off the lounge room, separate and very private rooms with each on a separate level. You have everything you need, it’s a great location just a couple of minutes drive to the heart of Queenstown (and only 15 minutes walk... after a few drinks that’s great!) We didn’t hear a peep from the neighbours, but it seemed they may be permanent occupants and we kept noise to a bare minimum and didn’t spend much time inside. There is a cabinet at the front perfect for ski boots and skiis/poles. We will be booking this apartment again through Goodstays for all of our trips to Queenstown even if it’s just two of us, it is perfect and Goodstays were amazing with all my queries and their app, providing lock box details etc. and quick refund of our holding deposit. We have always stayed at The Rees and this apartment trumps it in so many ways.

Edin Apartments at Queenstown provided us with majestic views, with great facilities. The place was neat and tidy and so close to the town centre. The management were really professional giving us detailed checkin, checkout instructions and a mobile app. We absolutely loved the 5 nights at Edin apartment and would recommend it to our friends as well.

The house is beautiful and quite easy to find. The view is fantastic from the living room. Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable rooms. A property that should not be missed in Queenstown.

the home is comfortable and well appointed - there are 4 floors so be ready for stairs. Good location, if walking though, a pretty good hill to climb to come back from town center. Nice access to walk up to the Queenstown Hill trail.

The views from this accommodation are truly amazing (and a worthwhile trade off for being a difficult walk from the centre). The internet was good, it was clean and information about how everything worked was thorough and helpful. Four things could be improved: 1. The bed on the bottom level was soft, dipped in the middle and was wobbly. 2. Some of the quilts were stained and could have been covered up with quilt covers rather than a top/bottom sheet (which is uncomfortable to sleep with). 3. The kitchen cupboards could do with a declutter and make sure that lids match pots/pans. 4. The top bedroom is very stuffy and whilst the window can be left open, there is no flyscreen or security screen. We enjoyed our stay and only offer these comments as feedback that we hope will be of assistance.

We had a great stay. The place was spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. We walked down to town and got a taxi back up the hill. My only complaint was that we went to Number 7, when in fact it was unit 7 number 69. This was not communicated well.

We stayed at Edinburgh Drve No 7 recently for a family holiday in NZ for 8 nights.
it really was a home away from home with everything you could possibly need in terms of appliances/furniture/heating and wifi.
it was clean and tidy, modern, and well maintained. The check in/out process was super easy.
best of all...the amazing views! 2 bedrooms and the living area had spectacular views all across Lake Wakatipu and many mountain ranges including the remarkabales. You really couldn't ask for a better view.
Location was good with off and on street parking. very short drive to town or took about 20mins to walk (harder uphill on the way home).
i would definitely recommend this 3 bedroom apartment and i can't wait to return one day!

I couldn't have been happier with this rental experience. The view is absolutely stunning! The property was perfectly adequate for our group of 5.

The view was spectacular. However we arrived to a broken bathroom door handle that we were charged $150 for even though we reported it that has left a terrible taste in our mouth. The vacuum cleaner was so full from previous tenants filth that it had absolutely no suction and we had to clean its filter to get it to work slightly. The actual property was overall good but will be avoiding using good stays in future as a property manager due to their poor service and poor maintenance

We absolutely loved staying here! It was clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed. The views were spectacular from the balcony. Walking to town was no issue and was actually a lot closer than we initially thought... The walk back up the hill was a bit of a mission but good exercise after having a ferg burger :p I think it was a great price and would highly recommend it.

We spent 5 nights in Queenstown and we were very happy with Edinburgh Drive No.7. The view from the apartment is stunning, short drive to ciry centre. Well equipped kitchen and laundry made our stay in Queenstown easier.

However dealing with Goodstays is quite an aggressive process and lots of Policy threats and added charges if you don't comply but they did not back up their own standards. On the phone they are very rude and aggressive to speak to if something or communist ions get mixed the phones calls turn into policy lists not service. When you pay a lot of money to stay.
All of the dishes and cutlery were dirty - like they had just been dipped and put back into place.
Toilets jammed and ran for hours if you didn't go and sort them ( this involved 3 flights of stairs) and the shower waste blocked in the main bathroom.
There was no point raining anyone as it was very clear that you would be charged if someone had to come out.

We had a great stay, house has a stunning view which was great for our overseas guests. Well equipped, clean and tidy. Good sized double bedrooms and bathroom facilities.

The property, location and views were outstanding. I was surprised at how warm the apartment was, as it was very cold during our visit. Would stay there again and highly recommend.

We spent a week in Queenstown and the house was the perfect base, far enough away from the buzz of the town but close enough to be convenient. Views were spectacular - definitely coming back again.

As I walked in the front door I looked up and saw the most beautiful view I had ever seen from a living area I automatically knew the trip was going to be amazing, and my stay at 69 Edinburgh Drive made it that much better! Would recommend to anyone who is capable of walking up and down some stairs!

Excellent location and views. The room at the upper level has no ventilation and was a bit suffocating if the balcony window/door is kept shut. But can't complain, as had read it in reviews before booking. All in all, excellent apartment, will come back and recommend to others.

A great spot to rent overlooking Lake Wakatipu. Plenty of room for everyone sleeping 6 adults. Great comfy beds too!
Just a couple of moans . On arriving found the patio area in need of a good sweep not withstanding an old used cake of soap waiting to greet us there.

There was a peculiar smell in the premises, whether this was some sort of bug bomb or cleaning agent it meant we had to air the place out after each outing. Both an easy fix though.

The unit was clean and fairly well equipped. However, in the kitchen, a few condiments, tea, coffee and sugar would have been helpful. Some of the plates and glasses were chipped and when going to use the non stick fry pan, it was old and dirty and required more cleaning and was in need of an update. The views were spectacular and the beds were comfortable. We had a great stay, thank you.

Staying at Edinburge Drive No.7 was great for my friends and I. We drove down from Christchurch and staid in Queenstown so that we could go snowboarding in the surrounding mountains. This apartment is conveniently located in Queenstown and easy to get to if you have a car. We had heaps of fun, lots of rest and plenty of good food in this place.

Fantastic place to stay for our 10 days in July. Wondeful views from rear balcony and open plan lounge room. Only a 2 minute drive into town or 20 minutes on foot downhill. The only negative thing I would say about the house is that there is no heating in the top bedroom even though I had been told there was prior to booking. Some tea, coffe and milk also would not have gone astray as we had to go into town in the evening as soon as we arrived as nothing is supplied. Other than that we had a wondeful stay and would definitely come back. Thank you.
