Introduction
The sodium sulfur battery is a megawatt-level energy storage system with superior features, such as high energy density, large capacity, and long service life. The electrodes are separated by a solid ceramic, sodium beta alumina, which al o serves as the electrolyte. (NGK), a Japanese ceramics manufacturer, have released an advanced container-type NAS battery (sodium-sulfur battery) *1. NAS® Battery technology has been proven by more than 15 years of deployment at customer sites all around the world. Amongst a myriad of options, containerized sodium-sulfur (NaS) batteries stand out not only for their efficiency but also for their promise in supporting grid stability while amplifying the deployment of renewable energy sources like wind and solar.
