Tata Power Renewable Energy will establish a greenfield 10 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of Rs 6,675 crore. The Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) approved a greenfield investment by Websol Renewable Private Limited (WRPL) for setting up a fully integrated 8 GW solar manufacturing facility (4 GW solar cells + 4 GW solar modules) in the Naidupeta multi-purpose special economic zone in Tirupati district. India's solar manufacturing sector has witnessed remarkable growth, driven by supportive policies and regulatory frameworks. Among these, the ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) and PLI (Production Linked Incentive) schemes have emerged as game-changers.
