Introduction
The project involves the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 10 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant integrated with a 20 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) and a 33 kV evacuation line. The government of Somalia has rolled out tender to for the development of a 10 MW hybrid solar-plus-storage plant project. The project, financed by the World Bank, will be set up in Garowe, Puntland on a 290-hectare site.
