Introduction
The Emirate of Dubai launched incentives for electric vehicles in the form of dedicated free EV parking spaces, free Salik tag, and free charging through the public EV charging network of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The National Electric Vehicles Policy seeks to achieve several goals, including: reducing energy consumption in the transport sector by 20 per cent, building a centralised database of electric vehicle charging stations, and improving the road quality and maintaining the UAE’s top positions in.
