Introduction
Abu Dhabi-based Global South Utilities has commissioned Chad’s first utility-scale solar plant, a 50 MW facility in N’Djamena with 5 MWh of storage to supply 274,000 homes. This is marked by the opening of the Noor Chad 50 Megawatt (MW) Solar Photovoltaic (PV) plant. It was delivered under a leasing model, making it the first of its kind in the country, which has one.
