Introduction

This groundbreaking project, located on the coastal tidal flats of the Yudong Reclamation Area in Rudong County, marks a significant milestone as China's first integrated offshore facility combining PV power generation, hydrogen production and refueling, and energy storage, all. On December 31, 2024, the Rudong Integrated Photovoltaic (PV)-hydrogen-storage Project, operated by CHN Energy’s Guohua Energy Investment Co. Hengtong Group announced today, on January 7, 2025, that this development marks the launch of “China’s first” PV project aimed at ecological remediation of tidal flats. The project integrates PV technology with intelligent control systems to enhance energy conversion and storage.
