Introduction
Power Generation and Storage includes solutions and products related to the process of harnessing energy resources—most frequently as electricity—and innovations for storing energy for use at a later time. An energy storage system (ESS) for electricity generation uses electricity (or some other energy source, such as solar-thermal energy) to charge an energy storage system or device, which is discharged to supply (generate) electricity when needed at desired levels and quality. The electric power grid operates based on a delicate balance between supply (generation) and demand (consumer use).
